Elevate Health Australia
NDIS Patient Notes; AI Risk Analysis System
Elevate Health Australia, an AI-powered risk-flagging platform that pulls shift and workforce data from Deputy and surfaces the notes that matter most, first. Turning shift notes into an early warning system for support quality and safety.
Elevate Health Australia (EHA) came to Designpluz to solve a scaling problem familiar to any growing NDIS provider: hundreds of shift notes are written by support workers every week, and the ones that matter most, a missed medication, a safety concern, a change in a participant’s presentation, can get lost in routine paperwork. We built a custom .NET and Angular platform that pulls staff, participant and shift data straight from Deputy, then uses AI to flag which shift notes need a manager’s attention first.

The Challenge
EHA’s support workers already logged their shift notes inside Deputy, the workforce scheduling and timesheet platform the business runs its day-to-day rostering through. The problem wasn’t a lack of documentation, it was context and additional data management including admin notes and files. As the team grew, so did the number of shift notes, with no efficient way to know which ones needed a coordinator’s eyes immediately versus which were routine. A note flagging a missed medication or a behavioural incident carried the same visibility as a note confirming a routine visit went smoothly, until someone actually read it.
EHA needed a system that could pull all of that shift activity out of Deputy, give their admin team a proper home for staff and participant records and critically, use AI to do a first pass on every note, so risk didn’t depend on someone finding the time to read everything.
The Solution
We built EHA a custom platform on the same stack behind our other software work, .NET microservices, Angular and SQL Server, hosted on Azure, with an AI layer using the same underlying technology as our other projects; proven and tested.
Deputy Integration
Our .NET microservices connect to the Deputy API on a schedule, pulling staff, shift details, including kilometres travelled and shift notes, and client records into EHA’s own SQL Server database. Staff and participant (client) records pulled from Deputy now live in a proper admin interface, rather than only inside Deputy itself.
AI Risk Flagging
Every shift note passes through an AI review step, the same Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Search combination we use for our other AI products, and comes back tagged Low, Medium or High risk. Coordinators can sort straight to the notes that need attention, instead of reading every note in the order it was written.
SSO & Access
Admin users log in through single sign-on against EHA’s own company domain, so access is managed the same way as the rest of their business systems, not as a separate login to remember. Admins still require an invitation to access the platform.
Notes & Documents
Admins can add their own context notes to any staff member, participant, or individual shift note, capturing detail Deputy was never designed to hold. A file upload and tagging system lets the team attach and organise supporting documents against staff, participants, or notes, all searchable from one place.

Considerations
As Elevate Health is an established business, implementing new systems into their existing workflows required careful planning and implementation.
Custom Software created to integrate with existing third party software. Perfect, on time and within budget parameters. Also created new website ( out with the old and in with the new ).
Shaun, Priya, Mia and Jag and the rest of the inhouse team operate without fault and this includes excellent communication along with the immense skills and knowledge to undertake custom software from design, testing to full operation.
